Care Notebook Volunteers
You can have a tremendous impact on our local families by helping them accomplish a very important task. We need Care Notebook Volunteers to assist at pre-scheduled workshops, mornings or afternoons. Our volunteers will work one-on-one with a parent and help them to organize their child's medical, school, therapy, emergency information and other important records into a Care Notebook, a 3-ring binder with dividers. We will train you on-site, one hour prior to your first scheduled Care Notebook Workshop, and once trained, you can volunteer whenever the schedule works for you. This will greatly benefit families who are overwhelmed by record keeping and help them to prepare for their Independent Education Plans (IEP's), doctors appointments, insurance claims, etc. You can help to relieve the stress on our Orange County families by providing this caring service. We will contact you as we plan 4 - 6 workshops each year, throughout the county, and YOU may confirm the dates when you wish to volunteer. We need your support and sponsorship for this project.
